1 John 5:11-13

And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.

On June 3, 2017, I had the scariest and strangest experience in my entire life. I woke up with stitches on my face and unable to remember what happened in the past couple of days and how I got hurt. To cut the story short, I got myself what the medical specialists called a Transient Global Amnesia (TGA), or in layman’s term a temporary amnesia. Waking up with stitches on my face is scary. Waking up with lost memories is a nightmare!

That kept me thinking, what if I have permanently lost my memory? What if on that day I woke up, I could no longer feel or remember who I am and the people around me? That experience was a huge eye opener! I realized how important and powerful memories are. Losing them is like losing everything; losing your memory is basically being disconnected to everything you’ve lived for… and that’s just tragic.

This brief and scary experience was an affirmation of my desire to keep writing and sharing life’s valuable lessons and stories. In particular, this blog wishes to cover seven areas in life that I believe many of us find important to balance: family, career and finance, health and wellness, community and environment, emotional being, state of mind, and spirituality.

As one of my mentors once said, you can’t teach what you do not know nor give what you do not have. In a similar way, I can’t write and share something about life’s valuable lessons, insights and testimonies of God’s love without prior experience and personal encounters of these myself. And so is the reason all content in this blog are simply straight from the heart.

It is, therefore, my utmost desire and hope that through this platform, may every word and experience I share in writing be an instrument of hope, a source of encouragement, a vessel of love, and a generator of strength for both you and I as we face what is yet to come.

Do join me in this journey and happy reading!

Truly yours,
